UNLOCKED (vietato ai minori) è un progetto volto a celebrare l’unicità e la forza della donna, attraverso 40 fotografie inedite di nudi femminili tatuati, in bianco e nero, che vengono ritratti come opere d’arte. Nudi segnati da tatuaggi, tagli e piercing che aprono le porte ad una bellezza interiore, misteriosa, fragile e nascosta. Una bellezza unica, da scoprire attraverso l’obiettivo di una macchina fotografica, la serratura di una porta dalla quale immaginare ciò che esiste al di là di ciò che si vede con gli occhi.
UNLOCKED (vietato ai minori) è la frantumazione del muro che spesso viene posto tra la società e l’individuo, un progetto sul quale l’artista ha lavorato per più di tre anni e che vede la partecipazione di professioniste che si sono affermate in molteplici mondi e le cui storie impresse sulla pelle hanno affascinato e ispirato tante persone, al punto da raggiungere, tutte insieme, più di un milione di followers nei propri canali social media.
<< Questo lavoro nasce da una domanda: preso atto che antropologicamente moltissimi popoli, da tempo immemorabile, modificano il loro corpo per sembrare più belli, più forti, come segno distintivo e come convinzione e speranza di venire protetti (tatuaggi, anelli, bracciali, orecchini, tagli) perché ancora oggi alcune persone “intervengono” nel proprio corpo? Intervistando le modelle fotografate è emerso che sulla pelle si scrive ancora un ricordo, un’emozione, una prima volta, una promessa di ultima volta, un dolore, una morte, una nascita. In questo modo la pelle diventa una tela per raccontare la propria vita e la persona ritratta un’opera d’arte vivente, sempre esposta nel quotidiano. Queste foto, pertanto, hanno la forza di aprire una serratura UNLOCKED per provare a varcare una porta che ci introduce in un mondo unico, un giardino segreto >>. (RL)
UNLOCKED (suitable only for adults) is a project aimed at celebrating the uniqueness and strength of women through 40 never-before-seen photographs of tattooed, black-and-white female nudes that are portrayed as works of art. Nudes marked by tattoos, cuts and piercings that open the door to an inner, mysterious, fragile and hidden beauty. A unique beauty, to be discovered through the lens of a camera, the lock of a door from which to imagine what exists beyond what is seen with the eyes.
UNLOCKED (suitable only for adults) is the shattering of the wall that is often placed between society and the individual, a project the artist has been working on for more than three years and featuring female professionals who have established themselves in multiple worlds and whose stories imprinted on their skin have fascinated and inspired so many people, to the point that all together they have reached more than a million followers on their social media channels.
<< This work stems from a question: having taken note that anthropologically a great many people, since time immemorial, have been modifying their bodies to look more beautiful, stronger, as a distinguishing mark and as a belief and hope of being protected (tattoos, rings, bracelets, earrings, cuts) why do some people still “intervene” in their bodies? Interviewing the models photographed, it emerged that a memory, an emotion, a first time, a promise of last time, a pain, a death, a birth is still written on the skin. In this way, the skin becomes a canvas to tell the story of one’s life, and the person portrayed a living work of art, always on display in the everyday. These photos, therefore, have the power to open an UNLOCKED lock to try to pass through a door that ushers us into a unique world, a secret garden >>. (Riccardo Lorenzi)
